BSc Business Computing
This degree combines the range of Information Technologies (electronic office programs, databases, programming and the internet) with fundamental areas of Business (management marketing, accounting, marketing, economics and law). Graduates will have the knowledge and skills required to comprehend business functions and to analyze user information needs in order to develop and implement information systems.
Learn to identify intuitively, through a combination of theory and experience, the dynamic mixture of processes required by information delivery systems to perform their duties in an organization. You’ll also be able to recognise that an organisation is always evolving and changing, and how the systems for information of that organisation must be able to adjust to these changes and new requirements and demand from users.
You will develop your IT and computing skills during your second year with workshops and projects. You’ll be able to learn from our professors and participate in an industrial placement in which you’ll put your new skills into practice.
Our teaching methods are focused on the most current technological developments, and we focus on the application of new technologies in business contexts. You can select from a variety of courses, including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as along with e-Business Technology. The course is enhanced by regular guest speakers from top companies that will help demonstrate the practical relevance of the subject you’re studying, as well as the career prospects for our graduates.
